Researchers at the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ have shown that obesity stands alone as a risk factor for death, particularly from heart disease, and that the risk increases as people put on pounds.
Robert E. Rich, Sr., founder and chairman of the board of Rich Products Corp., will receive the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½'s most prestigious award, the Chancellor Charles P. Norton Medal, at the university's sesquicentennial commencement ceremony on May 19.
